Obituary

Surrounded by her family, with the strength and grace that marked her life, Michalina was reunited with her beloved husband Walter in Heaven on Thursday, June 23rd, 2011 in her 90th year. She revelled in her role as a devoted mother to loving daughter Mary, proud mother-in-law to Jarowslaw, and as a cherished grandmother to her very precious granddaughters Larysa, Adriana and Natalie. Her deep faith in God and her profound patriotism for her beloved homeland Ukraine was lovingly instilled in her granddaughters. The family would like to thank everyone who cared for her during her lengthy illness and especially the compassionate staff on 4M and 6G of St.Joseph’s Health Center, for there exemplary and comforting care. Family will receive friends at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street, Toronto ON, M6P 1N6, on Sunday June 26th, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Panakhyda service will follow at 7:00 p.m. A Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday at St.Josaphats Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 143 Franklin Avenue, Toronto ON, M6P 3Y9 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3: 5 – 6) Vichnaya Pamyat!)
