I am sorry to hear about Alex's passing. I met him through tai chi in Etobicoke, where he used to practice. On behalf of all the participants who played tai-chi with Alex and remember him, I wish to convey our sincere condolences.

Alex was a very dear and beloved colleague of ours in the English Department at Lincoln M Alexander SS. For many years he remained a close friend with whom I was extremely lucky along with many others to have shared wonderful memories of our numerous meals, adventures and get-togethers. He would often talk fondly of his two sons (your father is very proud of you both!) and lovingly on topics such as food, travel, and unique hobbies. To me, he was always a great Mentor and even a Father Figure that I could count on when I needed consolation and advice whether at school or on a personal level. During our trip to Asia when we were unfortunately abandoned at some point, Alex provided leadership and guidance that helped us cope with some difficult situations. He was also very generous and thoughtful and was always open to learning about new ideas and challenges. I miss him very much and am extremely sad but I know he is in a safer and kinder place. God Bless and Rest Your Soul My Dear Friend. You are forever in my heart and mind!

Sincerest sympathy to Alex’s sons and family. Many fond memories of Alex during our childhood and subsequent years of friendship at Berezki and Russian Community. Lots of good times - including the one date Alex and I had at age 16 - a Halloween Dance at Oakwood Collegiate. Rest In Peace longtime friend.

Sharon, D'Arcy and I join together in our sincere condolences to Alex's sons and family. We will always treasure the memories of our trip together in 2004 to China, Bali and Hong Kong, then, with our friends Mandeep and Jason joining us, onward to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan. Our thoughts are with his family.

We are saddened to hear Alex's passing. He is fondly remembered for his gentle manner and sense of humour. He was a valuable member of the Board of Directors at the Russian Orthodox retirement home in Jackson's Point for many years. Our deepest condolences to the family.
