Chaban, Dmytro – passed away peacefully at his residence in Toronto on Friday October 26th, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Born on March 29, 1923 in the Lemko town of Rapid, Ukraine. Beloved husband of Katerina Chaban. Loving father to Peter and his wife Michele, Irene and her husband Harinder Padam and Ann and her husband John O’Neill. Cherished grandfather to Soroya and Sean. Dear brother to Andrew Czaban. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and family in Ukraine. Visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (just east of Keele) on Monday, October 29th from 5 – 9 p.m. Panachyda held at 7 p.m. A Divine Liturgy will be held at Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Holy Protection, 30 Leeds Street, on Tuesday, October 30th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, 1280 Dundas St. W., Oakville.
