To Nelson and the Cardoso family,
It’s with deepest sympathies that I share our sincere condolences on the recent and sudden loss of your father. Angie and I send our thoughts and prayers to you, Liz and the kids, your mom and your brothers and all your families during this most difficult of times.
While I’ve only had the pleasure of meeting your dad during our younger years and then our encounters being fewer and far between, it was apparent when meeting your father that he was a caring and compassionate man. He was proud of his sons. And in knowing you, it is obvious that you were very fortunate to have such a man as your father and a role model because of the person you have become today.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences and please pass these sentiments to everyone. I can see how his personality and strength has passed into you and in doing so he lives on in you and those who loved him.
I hope to see you during visitation in order to express my sympathies personally. In the meantime, my hope is that these few words give you and your family some comfort in knowing that so many people are here to support you during this time of grief.
