Peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga on Monday, September 26, 2011 in his 99th year of life. Beloved husband of the late Olga. Will be missed by his Godson Ihor (Marusia), his bestman Jaroslaw Bilak and family. Born in Lviv, Ukraine prominent member of the Ukrainian Community in Canada George was an editor and chief of the “New Pathway” ukrainian newspaper and an active member of the conservative party of Ontario, assisted on campains for Allan Grossman and John Yaremko. Resting at Cardinal Funeral Homes Annette Chapel Thursday, September 29,2011 from 6-9 p.m. Panachyda 7 p.m. Funeral Mass Friday,September 30, 2011 10 a.m. at Ukrainian Catholic Church of The Holy Protection (Leeds). Interment Prospect Cemetery. Donations to The “Children of Chernobyl Fund” would be appreciated by the family.Visitation

Vitchnay Pamyat. Have many fun memories of him during his work in the community (though he was very serious in his work).
