Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Pereira.  He immigrated from Sao Miguel Azores when he was in his 20's. He worked for over 35 years as a landscaper. He was a Loving husband, father and grandfather.

He passed away peacefully after a long 10 year battle with end stage kidney failure and dementia.

Jose had a gift for finding humor in everyday life. His perfectly timed one-liners and legendary dance moves made every family gathering entertaining. His joy was infectious, and his ability to bring people together through laughter will be deeply missed.

He was a loyal husband, a proud father and grandfather. Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Maria, Jose is survived by his beloved wife Francelina, his children: Tony, Joe (Julie), Victor (Cinti), Adriana (Edy), Elizabeth (Paul), and Sandra. He was the cherished grandfather of Michael, Melissa, Matthew, Rachel, Autumn, Christopher, Victoria, Joseph, Joshua, Kylee-Noel, Courtney-Claire, great-granddaughter Elayna and his brother Manuel (Filomena)

Our heartfelt thanks go out to the incredible team at UHN Bickle Rehabilitation Centre. Your compassion, patience, and unwavering kindness brought great comfort to Jose and our family.

Though he may be gone, we will forever carry with us his laughter, his love, and the warmth of his smile. He taught us how to work hard and laugh often.

In lieu of flowers please donate to UHN Foundation
