Obituary
In loving memory of Jose Alon who took his final breath on September 18, 2024 at the age of 81, he was surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Toronto Ontario.
Jose the son of the late Simeon Alon and Vincenta Abigania from Vigan City, Ilocus Sur, Philippines. He dearly loved his siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Beloved father to Joallore, Joy (Danny), and Jazel (Angelo). Loving Lolo to Jessa, J-Irony, Jairen, Jayce, Jaya, Jael, and Jrue.
Jose was artistic, he enjoyed cooking, eating, watching CP24 and sports. He was never one to shy away from the dance floor and he had a unique sense of fashion.
He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, and gathering around the table for a delicious meal was his favourite thing to do.
Thank you to the wonderful, caring staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, St Michael’s Hospital, the entire Health Care Team, and the help and support of all the PSWs (Bayshore, SRT, and WNH) who shared a hand in his care.
We will cherish all the memories Dad…Thank you Lord.
We love and miss you Dad / Lolo.
A private funeral service was held on Monday September 23, 2024. A private cremation will take place at a later date.

Sending healing prayers and comfort during this time. Tito (Lolo) Joe will always be in our hearts and memories. His one of a kind style and unique charisma always put smiles on our faces. Will always keep close to our heart the times spent together, all the interactions we've had since we were kids until adulthood. The laughter and conversations, his cooking, gambling, drinks, jokes. To the Alon family....I'm terribly sorry to hear of your Father's passing. He was a beloved father, grandfather, Tito and friend, who left this world after a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. His presence brightened every room he entered, and he had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel at home, whether through a shared drink a warm conversation, or his infectious energy on the dance floor.
He was a man who valued the simple pleasures of life—whether it was sharing a story over a drink (we shared many), talking late into the night, or dancing at weddings with unmatched spirit. His boundless energy and genuine soul made him a joy to be around, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. I always looked forward to sitting down and conversing with him.
Jose was more than just a companion—he was a great father, always offering wisdom, strength, and unwavering love to his family. As a grandfather, he showered his grandchildren with endless affection and care, and they, in turn, adored him.
While his physical presence may be gone, the love, joy, and light he brought into our lives will forever remain. May we honor his memory by continuing to share his zest for life, his compassion, and his love of good company.
He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Rest in paradise kaibigan ko. We will dance again one day!
