It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Leo Lloyd Doucette. God called him to heaven on Saturday September 17th 2022 in the early morning. He was the cherished son of Leo and Josephine Doucette. Leo was a loving husband to Rose Richard for over 50 years, a wonderful father to Chris and Sarah Doucette. An amazing father figure to Ashley Nelligan whom he treated and loved as his own. And the best papa to his granddaughter Shealynn Doucette. A well-loved brother to Manny, David, Roy (Joanne), Kevin (Evanne) Doucette, Jean Firth, Dorothy Gallant (Stephen). Pre-deceased by Paul, Joananne, Johnny, Julia. A well-loved brother in-law to Marge (Doug), Omer (Geraldine), Sandra (Elmer), Danny. A great uncle to countless nieces and nephews. He was a kind, caring gentle soul. He worked hard his whole life to take care of his family. He was a crossing guard before he passed, and touched a lot of hearts in the people he crossed every day. He was a creative and talented man; he built so many wonderful wooden creations and shared them with everyone he loved. He was a gentle giant with a huge heart. His smile was warm and joyous that made you feel good. He was taken to soon and will be missed deeply by so many. He will be in all our hearts and memories until we meet again.
