Manuel Alexandre Da Silva
November 25, 1932 – November 10, 2021
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father and husband Manuel Alexandre Da Silva on Wednesday, November 10th, with his family by his side, at the age of 88 years.
Manuel will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years Carmen; daughters Manuela and Alda, their husbands Carlos and Jeremy; his sister Teresa as well as an adored ‘Vo Vo’ to grandchildren Kevin and wife Marisa, Andrew, Emily and Isabella; also, great grandchildren Lucas and Logan. He will also be dearly missed by numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his two brothers Antonio and José and his mother Teresa and father José.
Manuel was born on November 25th, 1932 in Alcobaça, Portugal. As a young man he was a keen fisherman and enjoyed playing cards with friends. Throughout his life he had a passion for traditional Portuguese music – Fado, and enjoyed good food and wine. When we would all get together as a family, he would often treat us to a rendition of one of his favourite songs!
If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Manuel would be very much appreciated by his family.
Prayers at 5 PM - We must continue to maintain physical distancing, the wearing of masks and may not allow more than 50 guests at any one time. Once the maximum limit has been reached, we will ask any additional guests to kindly wait outside in a physically-distanced line until there is room to enter safely.
