Mr. Peter Kuszpit

The Mathews family feel extremely fortunate in having Peter as a friend for many, many years. Mary was a school chum of Julia's and became friends with Peter when he moved in right next door to Julia. Julia would always tell Mary how she thought Peter was so great. When Julia and Peter got married Mary was a bridesmaid and when Mary and Tom got married, Peter was an usher. In the early 1970's, Peter got very excited when Disneyland opened in Florida and convinced us that we should go. What a time to go the U.S. The oil crisis had started and the speed limit was fixed for the first time at 55mph. We left on the 4th of July weekend and the cars had no air conditioning. We only got as far as Harrisburg, PA the first day. There were two cars, 4 adults and 7 kids, and the temperature was 30C. It seemed like the only person still excited about the trip was Peter. Each morning on the road, all of us would be standing outside the restaurant all ready to go, but having to wait for Peter to finish his breakfast. Never-the-less we persevered and had a fantastic time. A full 15 days and even a trip to Miami Beach. There have been other memorable trips and picnics over the years and we still can always enjoy relating incidents that happened along the way. God Bless you Peter.

Richard,Brenda, Karen and families, we were all so sadden to hear of your dad’s passing. We have many fond memories of your dad. Don’t think of him as gone away, his journey’s just begun. Life holds so many facets, the earth is only one. Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. Our prayers are with you all at this time. Our deepest condolences.

On behalf of my sisters, their families and my wife, I would like to offer my sincerest thanks to all those who sent condolences and flowers as well as those who were able to attend dad's visitations and/or funeral. We really appreciate the support we have received since dad's passing on Sunday, November 13th.

I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. I want to send my condolences to Norbert, Brenda, Cameron, and Ryan and the rest of the Kuszpit family. Peter was a great man and he will be missed. I will keep him in my thoughts during this difficult time. All the best.

I have great memories of both your parents up at the cottage, we shared alot of good times together. I will always remember all the great times and fun with our parents. Rich, Brenda and Karen. I was so sad to hear about the passing of your dad. What a great guy he was. So positive. I can't think of I time I was around him, that he didn't make me smile or laugh about something. Even when he was trying to teach me to box. My thoughts are with you.

Our family is so shocked to hear about the passing of our wonderful neighbour, your Father and Dido...it is with heavy hearts that we send our sincerest condolences. Peter was such a beautiful person...he always had a smile and friendly thing to say to our family. The birds of Saffron Crescent will never be the same. He was a saint for feeding them regularly during the cold winter months. They always relied on that stash of seeds. After the passing of your Mom, your Dad was never the same. He missed her so very much. They are in heaven together now. I know how close your family is, and hopefully that will give you some comfort....
