I have depended on Bob's winter road report every winter morning for as long as I can remember. I was happy for great road conditions and for the days I had to stay home and watch the snow fall. I will grieve the first snowfall and think of Bob, and I will miss his voice. We'll miss Bob's dedicated services surveying winter road conditions for our listeners in Southwestern Ontario. His daily chats on the issues of the day were an added bonus in our news shop. God bless. Blackburn Radio News Sarnia-Lambton

My heartfealt condolences to Bob's family. I remember Bob not only from road reports, but from the Curbside Cafe days at U of T. back in the 1980's. Many years later I would run into Bob often, as I practiced in a clinic around the corner from Bob's house on Alexander St. I always enjoyed talking to Bob; he had a rare quick wit and a warm and friendly disposition. Although I have not seen Bob for seveal years, he will be missed.

Winter snow storm coverage on CFRB (and many other radio stations across Ontario) won't be the same in December without Bob. As the Operations Manager at CFRB I always looked forward to the winter season for my on going discussions with Bob. Every time we talked he made me laugh. He was a true professional and in my opinion, THE expert on road conditions in Ontario. To his family and friends I offer my condolences. RIP Bob ... know you made a difference in the lives of Ontario commuteurs during bad weather with your Winter Road Reports on stations across the province.
