Obituary

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Deborah (Debbie) Lynn Nestoruk, 68 years old passed away on October 21, 2024, in Toronto after a courageous battle against ALM. Debbie had a profound impact on every life she touched. She taught those around her that love and compassion can illuminate even the most challenging paths. Her story is one of remarkable hope, resilience, compassion, and unwavering spirit. Throughout her journey, she faced each challenge with grace, embodying kindness even in her most difficult moments.

Debbie was born on March 8, 1956, to Nellie Olive Jones and Weldon Mason in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.

In 1974 Debbie met Terry Nestoruk in Toronto, Ontario. Debbie and Terry went on to have three children, Tracy Nestoruk, Tammy Lynn Nestoruk and Jodi Jeanette Nestoruk.

Debbie dedicated her life to caring for her three children and four grandchildren. Her first two born grandsons, Dillon Nestoruk and Nicolas Nestoruk as well as her two granddaughters, Madelyn Metallo and Alessia Metallo.

Deborah Lynn will forever and always live in our hearts.

There is simply no way to pick one memory when you have an entire life time of them. She always looked exactly the same when I saw her not matter how much time had passed. I admired her my whole life. Instead of sharing a memory or two I'd like instead to say thankyou to her. Thankyou for your kindnesses over the years, thankyou for the advice and encouragement, thankyou for always treating me like I was one of your own daughters and thankyou for always being a soft place for us all to land. I promise to never forget.

A beautiful woman, a beautiful soul. As a child I will always remember and cherish the memories of Debbie's LOVE for Rod Stewart, her love for spandex pants and animal print and how her hair was always perfectly styled....and those eyes and that smile! Always loving and kind, always positive, and always wanted to help however she could. My Godmother you will always be. Fly high with those angel wings. My love, thoughts and prayers are with the whole family, as I know how cherished and special she is and always will be to you all.
