Obituary
Kolos, Julia (Maicka) With family surrounding her in her final days, Julia passed away at the Ivan Franko Home in Toronto at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Theodore. Loving mother of George Bohdan (Chrystyna), Steve Roman, Maria and Zenia. Devoted grandmother of Andriy, Alexander (Natalie), Danylo, Nicholas and Nina. She is survived by her cousins Michael, Anna and Frank Maitski in the U.S. . Julia was born January 1, 1923 in Zubensko, Ukraine and survived the turbulent war years in Germany. In 1948 she emigrated to Canada and eventually relocated to Toronto, where she met and married her husband Theodore. She considered her children and grandchildren were her flowers. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends in Canada, United States, England and Ukraine. Memorial donations to Dzherelo c/o Children of Chernobyl Canadian Foundation or to Plast 21 Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.Visitation

You all are being held very specially in our hearts during this time of mourning and sadness. We do know that there is a special place for her in heaven and once again meets with Theodore. I just imagine that she meets her family and those Ukrainians are having one big party up there. Singing and dancing in their beautiful costumes.
