Obituary

On Thursday, October twenty fourth, 2024, Margarida de Fatima Resendes Botelho Borges was reunited with family in heaven.  Born to Maria Jose and Fulgencio Botelho, on July 13^th, 1953 in Ribeirinha, Sao Miguel, Azores as the oldest sibling to sisters Mary, Laura, and Teresa, and brother David.  In search of a higher standard of living, she immigrated to Canada:  land of cold and snow as she described it.  She entered the work force as a seamstress, but eventually switched to working for the University of Toronto as an office cleaner.   In 1973, she married Mariano and they remained spouses until his death in 2021.  She will be remembered as a devout Roman Catholic, her fashion sense, home decorative style and most of all, her generosity.  Her good nature and sense of humour will not only leave a void for her sons John and Brian and daughter-in-law Wanda, but also for her extended family and friends.  Her family would thank Gloria, Tsering, and Doris for their assistance during Margarida’s illness.
