Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Altina Loureiro who departed this life peacefully on November 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 86.

Maria Altina was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister whose spirit and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.  She was hardworking, and her presence provided comfort, knowledge and joy to her family and friends, who treasured the time they had with her.  She loved her grandchildren immensely and was extremely proud of all them. The family will miss her terribly and are grateful for the time spent with her, cherishing the memories they created together.

She is survived by her beloved husband Eduardo Loureiro of 65 years, and her three children who will carry her memory in their hearts forever

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital for their care and dedication. Memorial donations may be made to Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 20th from 4-8pm at Cardinal Funeral Homes - Bathurst Chapel.

Funeral services will be on Thursday November 21st at 10am at St. Mary's Parish.
