No dia 16 de Março de 2025, faleceu a senhora Maria de Lourdes Gomes Andrade, 87 anos de idade, natural de Agualva, Ilha Terceira, Açores, Portugal. A família sente profundamente a morte desta pessoa tanto querida, dum modo especial seus filhos/as: Alda Toste (Fernando), Manny Andrade & Camila Andrade (John). Era querida vovó de: Christopher Toste (Veronica), Nicholas Toste (Michaela), Britney Andrade (Rudy), Allyson Andrade (Nicholas) & Sophia Andrade-Gomes. E amorosa bisavó de: Selena, Jack, Lorenzo, Olivia, Elio & Edison. Por este meio a família agradece as pessoas que acompanharam neste transe e manifestaram o seu pesar pelo passamento do seu ente querida.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maria de Lourdes Gomes Andrade, a proud immigrant from Agualva, Terceira, Azores, Portugal, who came to Canada to build a life and raise a family. Maria De Lourdes embraced the opportunities in her new homeland with determination and resilience, always striving to create a better future for her loved ones. Her faith, hard work, love, resilience, and dedication shaped the lives of those around her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and perseverance.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maria de Lourdes cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her unwavering faith in God guided her through the toughest of times, and her deep love for her family was evident in everything she did.

A loving parent to Alda Toste (Fernando), Manny Andrade and Camila Andrade (John). A cherished grandparent to Christopher Toste (Veronica), Nicholas Toste (Michaela), Britney Andrade (Rudy), Allyson Andrade (Nicholas) and Sophia Andrade-Gomes. She adored her precious great grand children Selena, Jack, Lorenzo, Olivia, Elio and Edison.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind. We will forever carry her memory and the lessons she imparted. Her love will continue to inspire us, her strength will continue to guide us, and her faith will continue to surround us.

At this time of mourning, the family has respectfully decided to hold a private burial and the asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Dorothy Ley Hospice or St. Joseph's Hospital.

Rest in peace, Maria de Lourdes. Your love and your story will live on forever.
