She was the eldest of three children. Her younger brothers were Zenon and Lubomyr. Both of her brothers and their sons are no longer living.

When the 2nd World War began, she left for Germany with her cousin Genia and Genya's husband. They lived in Bavaria, in the town of Rosenheim.

In 1946, Wolodymyra met Jaroslaw (predeceased), who she knew from Ukraine. They married in 1947 in Germany and came to Canada in 1949. Their first child Roman was born, followed by their daughter Lidia a few years later.

She will be deeply missed by her children Roman and Lidia, daughter-in-law Betty, grandchildren Andrew (and his wife Emily) and Mark (and his wife Shirley), as well as the many friends who were fortunate to have known her.
