Obituary

Peacefully Maria Annijczyn passed away on February 10, 2022 at the age of 95 (fifteen days prior to her 96th birthday).

Maria will be dearly missed by her daughters Ann and Mary, her Grandchildren Tricia, Jason and Natasha and her Great Grandchildren Jake, Breanna and Lily. She will also be missed by Jax the family dog (even though she called him Jake) he was always by her side.

Maria was the sweetest, most generous, funny, thoughtful and bravest woman we all knew. She loved flowers, gardening, birds, horses, dogs, knitting and watching old and new movies – Home Alone being her favorite. But most of all Maria loved spending time with her family and friends. One of her passions was to make her traditional Ukrainian food and share with others.

Forever in our hearts she will be truly missed and never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace and carry on in the Heaven’s above.

Baba My Beautiful Angel, You were more than just my grandmother, you were my inspiration, my strength, my rock and my hero. You taught me so much throughout my years of what a strong woman is about. Everything you stood for and how to take care of your family. You taught me what family is all about and and unconditional love. You had so much to give to everyone. I am so honored to have all the memories I have with you, our late night talks, tears and laughter we both shared, and you were so loving and caring, you weren't just my grandmother,  you were like a mom to me in so many ways. Baba, I love you so much,  and will forever miss you. I hope you know how much you meant to me, and will miss you.   Now it's time for you to Rest in Paradise, no more worrying, no more taking care of everyone, its time for God to take care of you and you enjoy your peace in eternity.  Forever my Guardian Angel  I'll love you for infinity  Your Granddaughter  Natasha

My beautiful beautiful Mother. Thank you for everything you taught me. Your stories, your wisdom and strength made me the person I am today. Thank you for bringing such happiness and joy into our lives. I will miss watching classical movies with you from the time I was a child to this day. I know you will be watching with me. Never forget how much I love you and may you rest in peace. Your loving daughter Mary xoxo

Ann, Mary and Family, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your Mom. I truly know how hard it is to lose one's Mother. She is in the Best place she could possibly be now, even though she's not with her family physically, she will always be with you in spirit, until you meet again in Heaven. I experienced your Mom's kindness, sensibility, strength, great stories of how she built something (like the front porch of her house) she was a very strong woman. I also experienced her terrific gardening expertise. One summer she had given me & Pani Luba some flat green beans she had grown in her garden - they were sooo good. I asked her how she grew them, where, when she planted etc., so she gave me some seeds to sow. To my amazement the flat green beans grew in my tiny little space and they were delicious! I gave your Mom some from my "harvest" for her to try - when I gave them to her... the smile on her face and the twinkle in her eyes was sooo genuine - like she was proud of her seeds and maybe me too. Really nice memory I have of her. My Prayers are with your Mom and Your Family.

I never met your mom but I felt as if I knew her via Ann's stories and pictures. I always say it an honour to have known a fmly member who was loved and left an impact on anyone who was in her presence, gone in physically but she will remain alive in the hearts of those who loved her always.
