Obituary

October 7, 1961 – December 11, 2020.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Luba Stefania Lewyckyj on December 11, 2020, at the age of 59. Luba was surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home.

She is survived by her sisters Genia (Wally) Lachmaniuk and Daria (Orest)Twerdochlib. Proud aunt of Natalia (Volodia) Babicky, Oksana (Greg) Tkaczyk, Katherine (Andrew) Petruk and Stefan (Larissa) Twerdochlib. Cherished Great-aunt of  Zachary and Arianna Tkaczyk , Ryan and Damian Petruk and Victoria Babicky.

Luba will always be remembered for her zest for life, kindness, extraordinary love of Toronto sports teams, love of bowling, and unconditional love for her family. She loved her Ukrainian heritage and her Faith.

Due to current pandemic restrictions, the funeral will be by invitation only to limit the number of people in attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We encourage those that are unable to attend in person to attend virtually on https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU8_ZEJ-NvJQgupjQiDclqw    

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday December 15, 2020 at 10:30 am. A private interment will take place at Park Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church Mortgage Fund ( 300 River Oaks Boulevard East, Oakville, ON, L6H 5T1)
