On behalf of the Barrie District Stamp Club the members would like to offer our condolences to Lois, Peter and Leanne on the loss of their father. While only a member of the B.D.S.C. for a short time (April 2019), Barry enjoyed partaking of the close camaraderie of the meetings and shared his philatelic interests with those he sat with. At our meeting tonight we shared a moment of silence in Barry's memory. He will be missed. Sincerest regards, D.B. We can’t remember a time when Barry was not part of our family. He was more a brother than a brother-in-law. We will always have fond memories of the summers spent at his Swift Rapids cottage. Barry had a breathtaking thirst for life and knowledge. This was matched with his genuinely warm, humorous personality. When we live in the moment with kindness and compassion, we are remembering the legacy of Barry Bird. He left this world a better place.

Barry was a treasured family member, always taking an interest in others at family gatherings. He was a great conversationalist with a broad knowledge, a variety of interests and a welcomed addition to our get-togethers. He made the best coleslaw and helped with the big cleanup after dinner. We could count on Barry to make our lives just a little bit easier and more enjoyable whenever he could. We loved you, will miss you terribly and will think of you often.

Sincere sympathy to Barry’s family...I have known Barry for many years through the Orillia Bridge Club. He was a kind and witty person who enjoyed the challenge of getting an extra trick. Barry will be missed at the bridge table. Rest In Peace..
