Stukalo, Bohdan passed away suddenly on February 21, 2021 at home in his 60th year. He is predeceased by his parents Boris and Walentyna (nee Yereshenko) and his sister Julia Guterson. Beloved husband of 17 years to Heather Stukalo (nee Thom) and an amazing father to Orianna.

He will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends.  Nieces Titania Guterson, and Tara Greer (nee Thom), husband Kyle and their children Mya, Brinley and Addisyn.  Nephew Alex Guterson (wife Jennifer and children Peyton, Emma, Clair and Connor). Nephews Casey Thom, Jackson Thom, Weston Thom and Noah Thom. Mother-in-law Marjorie Thom. Aunt Arlene Nesbitt and brother in law’s Jim Thom and wife Christine and David Thom and wife Tammy. Uncle Gerry Jarson, wife Susan and cousin’s Larissa (wife Julie and children Noah, Sebastien and Margot), and Tamara (husband Peter and children Rachel and Chelsea). Bohdan (Bo or Don) was gentle and patient man. He was a wonderful person with a kind heart, incredibly smart, and funny (he loved those dad jokes). He had a deep pride in his Ukrainian heritage, computers, cars, reading, music (he played the bandura and sang in a choir in his younger days), pottery and most recently crocheting.

Due to COVID-19 a private service will be held for Bohdan on Thursday February 25, 2020. If desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to the Ukrainian National Federation of Canada.

Due to the current pandemic restrictions and under direction from our regulator, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, effective November 14, 2020 all funerals and visitations will be by invitation only to limit the number of people in attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We encourage those that are unable to attend in person to express their sympathy by posting a message of condolence to our website, donating to a charity of your choice in memory of your loved one or by sending flowers to the funeral home.

I was so saddened to hear about Bo’s passing. I worked with Bo at CWT and he was our “go to person” for any technical issues we had. He was so patient and knew our computers inside and out. My sincere condolences to Heather, Orianna and all the family. 🙏

This is hitting close to home. I remember him at Downsview Secondary, but never really knew him except that he was kind. Later we met again during Ukrainian events in the city. Never forgot his volunteer work for the Ukrainian community. R.I.P.

Bohdan was the kindest person with a big heart and a quiet sense of humour - and deep pride in his Ukrainian culture. He will be deeply missed. Bo was one of my best buddies in junior high. It was Bo, Eugene Joukowski, Gabi Siriani, Hanif Rahemtula, and me. We spent every lunch hour together and played handball. It was a fun time! In the summer, we’d play tennis in the courts behind the big white funny-shaped apartments on Exbury, which is the street he lived on. Bo played his bandura at the spring concert in Grade 9, and we sometimes went to his house after school - we even tried the aloe vera hooch his dad made. 😂 And met the big white samoyed, of course. He was a lovely man all his life. I’ll be thinking of him in the coming days
