Obituary

TAYLOR, CHRISTOPHER ROBERT ARTHUR December 5, 1977 – February 17, 2015 It is with great sadness we announce that Chris has passed after a valiant effort to recover from complications following a successful stem cell transplant. Cherished son of Robert A. (Bob) and Debbie Taylor, beloved brother of Tara Beck (Jeff). Chris is also mourned by his devoted fiancée and the love of his life, Michelle Martin and her family –mother Maureen Murphy, brother Stephen Murphy Martin and father Lucien Martin. Chris was a loyal and true friend whose smile lit up a room. He will be deeply missed by many relatives and friends who stood by him during his long illness. There will be two celebrations to honour Chris’s life – one in Toronto and one in Kanata. Toronto: Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Cardinal Funeral Home at 366 Bathurst Street, visitation from 11-1 pm, Memorial Service to begin at 1 pm. Kanata: Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at The Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Memorial Service from 4-5 pm. The family thanks the Canadian Blood Services – One Match and Blood Donation Divisions. We are grateful to the Stem Cell Transplant Unit at Princess Margaret Hospital and especially Dr. David Loach for his tireless efforts on Chris’s behalf. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to register with One Match, be a blood donor or make a financial donation to Princess Margaret Hospital.

I want to offer my deepest condolences for your loss. Chris (aka Taylor) was a very special man and he had a heart of gold. I enjoyed knowing Taylor as my criminology classmate and pub manager at SMU and I was very happy to reconnect with him when I moved to Toronto in 2004. Chris was a very gentle, fun-loving and courageous man and he will be missed.

Please accept my sincerest condolences at this difficult time. Chris was an amazing guy that will be missed very much. Although he left us far too early, his suffering is over and I know he's enjoying a beer in peace! Good Bye Chris....Gracies, St. Patty's Day and football won't be the same without you.
