Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ebony Dawn States 38 of Toronto ON, previously of Digby, Nova Scotia on May 1^st, 2022.

Ebony’s smile was well known and lit up rooms, wherever she went. She had a fun-loving spirit and was always the life of the party. Growing up she was an avid athlete and played many sports. Ebony loved Sea Cadets in which she excelled to the second highest rank. She was a determined individual, a very hard worker, and often holding down two jobs. Ebony enjoyed spending her time with her very large family and the many friends she made throughout her travels.

Loving mother to her four sons, T’kia, Malachi, Caiden and Ryden.

Beloved daughter of , Christopher Miller and the late Elta States and "mother figure" Bonnie States.

Loving sister of Shurenda States of Hamilton, ON, Tamecia Stevens of Dartmouth, NS, Vincent States of Digby, NS, Michael States and his wife Christine of Saint John, NB, Andrew Burrell and his wife Jenna of Saint John, NB, Kyle States and his wife Olivia of Hansport, NS, Brandon Burrell of Dartmouth, NS, Nakita States of Kentville and Cody States of Dartmouth, NS.

Also surviving are her grandparents Irving and Muriel Cromwell of Cherrybrook, NS, her dear Aunt Dorothy Burrell of Saint John, NB, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephew all of whom, lover her dearly.   She was predeceased by her grandparents Marion States and Jack & Evelyn Miller, her aunts and uncles Rebecca Miller, Ivan Miller, Timothy Miller, Anthony Burrell and her nephew Jaydon Stevens.
