Obituary

Lorraine Lesia (née Halabar) Dobrovolsky was suddenly taken from us when she closed her eyes and peacefully went to sleep eternally on June 12. In the sweet hereafter, she joins her beloved husband Valentin (Valya) Dobrovolsky and her loving parents, Efrosinia (Freda) and Michael Halabar. She leaves behind her brother Yaroslav ( his wife Lydia and nieces). She is loved and dearly missed by her children, Andre and wife Angela Dobrovolsky, Olenna and Nii-Apa Lamptey. Her cherished grandchildren Kojo, Maryn and Tema will have only the fondest memories and stories of their Lovely Babtsya to tell. Her friends and family will remember her fondly for her warm heart, kind smile and consuming laugh. Visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst St. Toronto, on Monday, June 18 from 6:30-9 pm with Panachyda Service at 7 pm. Funeral Service will be at the St. Volodymyr Church on Tuesday, June 19 at 10 am. Internment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, 1280 Dundas St. W., Oakville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.   May she rest in eternal peace. Vichnaya Pamyat! Вічная Пам‘ять!

Sending warm and sincere condolences to the loving Family of Lorraine "Lesia" Dobrovolsky. Losing a loved one is difficult. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of the joyful times you've shared. May you find strength in the tender words of comfort found at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4. We look forward to the time when God's Kingdom will eliminate sickness (Isaiah 33:24) and death will be no more (Revelations 21:3,4).

Dear Andre, OD and Family, My Sara (Duncanson) told me today of Your Dear Mama's passing. I am so Sad and Sorry for all of You. Dear Lesia was a Beautiful Soul. She Loved you so Much and More... She was also So Proud of You... I would call her occasionally from Vancouver where we live. We were Blessed to have had a kindred Spirit Friendship. (She officially Adopted me to be her "Non-Ukranian Ukranian Sister" 45 years ago..) May she be at Peace and know how Much she is Loved and Missed. All My Love to You. Martha Shepherd
