Obituary

Alexander, while surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021 at the age of 89. Alexander was born in Zrenjanin, Yugoslavia on October 1st, 1932. He is the beloved husband of Jean for 59 years. Loving father to Nick (Maria). Alexander will be sadly missed by his dear grandchild Samantha.  His memory will be cherished by his sister Melka, and he will be reunited with his brother, Mile. 

A special thank you to the nurses, doctors and personal support staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Lakeside Long Term Care. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lung Health Foundation

 

We must continue to maintain physical distancing, the wearing of masks and may not allow more than 25 guests at any one time. Once the maximum limit has been reached, we will ask any additional guests to kindly wait outside in a physically-distanced line until there is room to enter.

Alex was our friendly funny joyful neighbour for over forty years. It was always a pleasure to meet him and the friendly chats and his comments and advice very valued. We shall always remember him fondly, and cherish our memories of that friendly man at the street corner. Our deepest condolences to z Jean and family.
