I had the pleasure of meeting Babe and his pals when I nominated them for induction into the Softball Canada Hall of Fame. We drove in a van from Toronto to Ottawa and back. The stories that echoed in the vehicle kept us entertained for the whole trip. He was a great guy and I kept in touch with him from time to time to see how he was doing. Sad to see him pass, but the memories will remain.

Our sincere condolences from Joe (Raquel), Arielle - daughter, and Abraham - son. Mr. Gresko was such a presence at all of our baseball games and practices at High Park. His support, enthusiasm, and wisdom helped us players to become successful as baseball players and men. I have fond memories of him. As a father I appreciate how important having strong and positive influences are in a kid’s life and I will be forever grateful that I was lucky enough to have a legend like him positively influenced my life. He is and will always be a class act!

Dear Gord and Jane, so sorry to hear of your fathers passing. I always had a great affection for Uncle Babe, he had a cool factor that was unique for that generation. I am sure all the family is waiting for him on the "other side" and having a grand celebration of a life well lived. Love and respect.

What a sad, sad loss for all of us, especially the family. He will definitely be remembered by all who knew him - and there are so many he befriended. He loved being involved in the CNE baseball program year after year after year and even at 95 he was was on the job each and every day. A delightful young man with an amazing athletic and military career and an incredible sense of humour. Thank you for being you - R.I.P. MARVIN PEARL - CNE Ball Park Coordinator.

Dear Jane, We are so very saddened to hear of your Dad's passing.Though he had a long life, it is always hard to say a final goodbye to your parent. Looks like Babe will be joining in on many games at the great baseball field above and reuniting with your Mom and all of his family, friends and baseball pals that went before him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Alfie, your brother Gordon, and your family at this sad and difficult time. With Love, Mary-Lou & Tracy xoxo
