Obituary

Surrounded by family and love, Bohdan ‘Bob’ Brezden died on January 9, 2016 in his 85th year. He is survived by his wife Natalie, daughters Maria (Pavlo Czerwoniak) and Christine (Roman Masley), grand-children Maya, Taissa, Marc and Sophia and his two ‘adopted’ daughters Julia Tchoryk and Isabel Holmes with their families, and his sister Marika Serbyn of Washington DC. Born September 9, 1930 in Pidbirtsi Ukraine, Bohdan was a proud Ukrainian who escaped Soviet Ukraine during WWII to find a better life in Canada. He was a devoted husband, father and best Dido ever. He will be forever missed and always held dear in our hearts. Visitation will be Thursday January 14, 2016 from 6-9pm at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St, Toronto with Panahyda at 7:30pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 15, 2016 at 10:00am at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Holy Protection, 30 Leeds St, Toronto with burial at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Guardian Angels Ukraine Project (www.lucw.ca/guardian-angels.html) to support the Ukrainian war veterans fighting for an independent Ukraine.
