Obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our beloved brother Cori Robert Siu (McLeod) in Toronto, Ontario on Monday March 6th 2023. The youngest of eight children survived by his mother, Laara Mcleod and his older siblings; Leila, Tomoko, Bo, Suvi, Casey, Cale, and Colby. Cori passed away at the young age of 30 years old.

As the youngest son and sibling he will forever be loved and remembered as the baby of the family — sparkling blue eyes, a wicked sense of humour, a loving and sensitive heart, a brilliant bright smile — we most strongly remember him as the cutest little kid who gifted us with so much joy, love and happiness. He loved his family very much, always offering us hugs and kisses and telling us how much he loved us.

Born on June 25, 1992, in the City of Toronto, Cori brought so much love into our already full family.  He was constantly surrounded by and deeply cared for by his mother and seven older siblings. He grew into a charismatic, smart, kindhearted, fun-loving and grateful young man. He will continue in our lives in spirit, forever safe, at peace, and always in our hearts.

A private service, to be attended by immediate family only, will be held in Cori’s honour on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023, in Toronto; at the Cardinal Funeral Home-Annette Chapel, 92 Annette Street.

I'm so sorry to hear of this news. He was a good soul deep down. I really loved his smile. We had lots of good memories together and I deeply cared for him. I always wished the best for him and hoped he could embrace his good, kind and funny side. I'm really sorry to hear this news. I pray that he is well and in peace on the other side.

It is with heavy hearts that we pass along our condolences to the Siu family. All we can share is this: Say not in grief “he is no more” but live in thankfulness that he was.” Sincerely, Pat and Sandy Kelly

Casey, I am so terribly sorry for your loss! I recognize that very few words can offer comfort at this time, so please know that you and your family are in my thoughts. Any loss, whether unexpected/foreseeable, comes with it the rawest of feelings/emotions. I’m always here if you want/need someone to talk to. Sending you love and strength ~xoxo~
