ObituaryDaniel John Anthony Lypka June 10, 1987 – April 14, 2016 Daniel was taken from us suddenly on Thursday April 14th, 2016 in his home town of Etobicoke. Beloved son of Bohdan and Helen (Semchyschyn) Lypka. Dear brother of Alexandra Lypka and her fiancé Zachary Langlois. Loving grandson of Anna and the late Michael Lypka, and Eugenia & Dmytro Semchyschyn. Nephew of Luba and Alex Maslej, Lesia and Kevin Rudd and Darlene and Ray Jarvis. Cousin of Kassandra & Mark Maslej, Melanie & Lucas Rudd and Raymond & Juliana Jarvis. Also surviving are many Great aunts and uncles, of which Aunt Lesia and Uncle Alex were very proud to be Daniel’s Godparents. Good-natured, generous, kind-hearted, selfless, a good friend, a good listener and a protector are all descriptions that help us to identify with whom Daniel was. Daniel was an avid sportsman; he enjoyed fishing, hockey, baseball, and soccer. A graduate of Etobicoke Collegiate Institute, he then continued his post secondary education at George Brown College embracing the trade of plumbing. When not working, he enjoyed time spent at the family cottage and vacationing in Florida. Most of all Daniel loved his family, and loved to be with his family. He was adored by his grandparents, aunts and uncles, an inspiration to his cousins, the constant protector of his sister and the love of his parents. Daniel’s passing leaves his family and friends with a profound and irreplaceable loss. Resting at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (east of Keele St.), where his family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1-4 & 6-8 p.m. Panachyda at 7:30 pm. The Funeral Mass, Divine Liturgy, will be held at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 300 River Oaks Blvd (at the corner of Trafalgar Rd.) Oakville.
