To know him was to love him. A Man that defied the odds of death in the past and chose to embrace life for all that it had to offer. He loved as large as he lived. I knew him to be a very kind hearted and caring soul. He loved having conversations with everyone and would start up a conversation with almost anyone , anywhere. His laughter was contagious and he was legendary for his love of soccer infectious and his spirited games of dominos unlike any other. He was always first to wish Happy Birthday , Merry Christmas, Happy Valentines and with every other occassion. He is the greatest Vavu I could have asked for my sons. He spoke truths to them, expressed his heart and soul and told them to always do their best in what they were doing. He always told them how proud he was of them and loved cooking a meal for us. He always made sure you left with something cookies, bananas , chocolates ....just never empty hands. He always asked to call upon arriving home safely . For all these things and so many more ... He will be forever missed and always loved and the memories cherished. May you rest easy now Dinis in eternal life and shine down upon all those that love you. 🙏🕊️❤️🕊️🙏

Virginia, Joey, Leo and Tony. So sorry for your loss. Even though it's hard to say goodbye, he is a peace now and no longer in pain. He was a great uncle and I know my girls will miss him as well since he took great care of them . He put my mind at ease that my picky eaters would at least eat something when they went to school. I will forever remember and be grateful to him. He was one of a kind !! I have many fond memories of when I lived in Toronto and he would drop in to say hello - tons of laughs . Lots of love - Goretti

With sadness I reflect upon the passing of Mr. Melo. May the angels lead him into paradise and The Son of God welcome him and take him to the Holy City to reside in the embrace of God, where he will be reunited with all those that went before in peace, joy and love. I have many fond memories of time spent with Mr. Melo. He was a man who had a tremendous amount of love for those he cared about, and more importantly a zest for life he shared with all. He will be missed. My condolences to the Melo family for their loss.
