Dear family and friends of Danilo,
When we were both sixteen and at Royal York Collegiate, Danilo asked me to a dance at Christie Ukrainian Hall. He bought me a corsage and we took the streetcar downtown.
We were both so shy and awkward, Danilo in his new suit and me in a velvet dress.
He always called me his "first girlfriend".
I will remember always as a fierce handsome Kozak-warrior, someone who had a real zeal for life, someone who lived on the edge, someone who was his own man!
He will be missed.Thre will never be another like him! Vichnaya Pamiat dorohey Danilo!
