DiGiacomo, Donato: Peacefully, in his 80th year on Friday May 25, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dearly beloved husband of Lina for 57 years. Loving father of Domenic and his wife Franca Gallucci, Mary and her husband Sam Sloane. Proud, loving and devoted grandfather of Alessandra and John DiGiacomo, and Daniel and Silvia Sloane. Loving brother of Lucia, Bianca and Elsa. Brother in law of Rocco, Pietro, Miro, Antonio, Onelia and Elsa. Visitation at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst (just north of Dundas), from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Sunday May 27, and from 7-9 pm on Monday May 28. Funeral Mass at 9:45 am on Tuesday May 29 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 72 Mansfield Avenue (Grace and Mansfield). Entombment at Forest Lawn Mausoleum (4570 Yonge Street). The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the superior care and compassion of Dr. Brierley and the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital. In celebration of Donato's life, donations to Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated by his family."Visitation
