Obituary

Photographer, plumber, electrician, handyman, computer geek, imaging specialist, mentor, brother, brother-in-law, friend and beloved husband, Doug died suddenly in Toronto at 72.

Doug was born in Toronto to the late Audrey and the late Ray Sibley.

He met his wife Barbara at Sheridan College and they were married in 1973. They celebrated 50 years of marriage last July.

Knowing Doug was to know his quick wit, his skill at storytelling, joking and mimicry, his technical knowledge and his enthusiasm for the outdoors and city life. His passion was photography and a studio apartment in Toronto, dubbed "the cottage”, allowed him to wander the city at will. He was always in search of that perfect shot.

Doug is survived by brothers Richard and Garry (Janice) and sisters Susan and Diane. He was predeceased by his younger brother David. Also left to mourn him are his sister- and brothers-in-law Kathy, Jan and Leon, several nieces and a nephew and the extended Muehlbacher family.

He was taken too soon.
