BRUM, Elias Eduardo Furtado With much sorrow we announce the passing of Elias on Wednesday, September 14, 2010 at Toronto Western Hospital. Elias , beloved husband of the late Maria. Dear father of Maria and her husband Robert Simko, Elias Jr. and his wife Leigh, Paula and her husband Steve Barnes, Lucia and her husband Kelly Huber and Tony Brum. Proud Vovo of Jacqueline, Amanda, Riley and Scott. Dear brother of Cesar and the late Sophia, Jamie, Denis and Antonio. Elias will be warmly remembered by his family and many friends. Friends may call at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street (North of Dundas) on Thursday from 2-9pm. Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church (Bathurst Street at Adelaide). Entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.Visitation

I am offering my deepest symapthies for the passing of your dear beloved father. I was devasted last Thursday evening when Helena informed that he had passed on. It seems so sudden and unexpected as when I last saw him at Jaime's funeral he looked well. He was always so kind and happy to see me even when Helena and I went our separate ways. I will always remember him with fond memories.
Through this period of grief, I pray to God that he will strenghen and guide all of you.
