My condolences to Eugene's family and friends on his sudden passing. Despite being a tenant, not an owner, at Five Rosehill, Eugene always greeted me with a friendly face and a word or two. He was steady and diligent in conducting his responsibilities. I will miss him.

I cannot tell you how sad I am at the recent passing of Eugene. I had the experience of working with Eugene for the past eight years and witnessed his unwavering dedication, commitment, consistency and loyalty to the community of Five Rosehill. For eight years Eugene arrived early for work and was never late, not once. He never called in sick or took a day off. His briefcase was full of extra pens, paper, white out, and any other items needed for the job. He was precise and surgical in his report writing and documentation. He performed all duties and patrols with meticulous attention and possessed an impeccable work ethic. During the recent snowstorm when TTC shut down, taxis limited and Uber rides were $200.00 dollars, Eugene arrived one hour early. When I suggested to him that he may leave early that night if conditions worsened, he quickly and adamantly replied, “Oh no, I’m going to leave at my regular time.” When the building had a sinkhole at the front of the building on Yonge Street Eugene brought a piece of board from home to cover the hole. When electrical cover plate for the light switch in the garbage room broke off he brought in a replacement the next day. Eugene often donated stationary supplies for the desk if an item ran out. I told him I would order from the office supply company, but he would always say he had some items at home and sure enough extra pens, post-it’s, a stapler, or scissors would appear the next day. Eugene‘s contributions extend far beyond office supplies. Several times he was required to deal with intruders, vagrants, and people with mental health issues . He kept the property and the residents safe Eugene was one of a kind He will be missed My deepest and kindest sympathies to Olha and family
