Obituary

HUGHES, Evan Moray — April 3, 1971 - April 2, 2016 It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Evan. He was a dear, kind, loving and special man that impacted many people of Toronto. He leaves behind his most loved son Gavin, age 4. Gavin was his whole life, his inspiration and first and foremost reason for living. Evan is survived by his mother Judy Sinclair Hughes of Toronto, his father David Hughes of Nova Scotia, his nephews Aidan, Owen and Gavin's mother, Alice (Liz) DeBoer. Evan is predeceased by his sister Laura. He also leaves behind a large, loving, extended family from all over Canada and the United States, many supportive friends and a great, caring community. Evan worked as a paralegal, Addictions Counsellor and most recently, a housing worker at St. Steven's of Toronto. Evan had a great love for music which included playing the bass guitar in several bands and most recently interested in Dubstep. Friends and family are welcome to join in a service to be held at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street, Toronto, on Thursday, April 7th from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Evan's son, Gavin Hughes
