Jimerson, Frank Joseph “Joey”. Peacefully on August 16, 2014. Joey at age 56 years, loving companion of Darlene Gumbs. Dear brother of Lanay Browning. Father of Crystal, Joey ans Bobby. Predeceased by his parents Margaret Ladd-Jimerson and Frank Joseph Jimerson, grandmother Mary Ladd and uncle Joseph Ladd. Dearly missed by Greg, Jamie-Lynn, Natassia, Savanha, Tara and Lil Z . Joey will also be sadly missed by countless other friends, too many to mention. Family and friends will be received at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst St. (near Dundas St.) on Thursday from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Friday August 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Grant A.M.E. Darlene, Crystal, Joey and Bobby, Brian and I are truly saddened by this terrible news Big Joey was always a funny guy! He is the one gone on to where our true citizenship lies. For all of you, you are in our prayers.

Joey was my uncle whom I loved dearly. I favored him over everyone. I remember him taking me and Crystal to the store as kids and then wanting to eat our candy:) he was always #1 in my heart i'm devastated by his passing and my heart goes out to my cousins right now. Love you guys. Love jen

I am deeply saddened about the lost of our precious Joey. I can remember while in church and the song. In the blood would be sung, and how you would belt it out. I am so heartbroken about the news of Big Joey's passing. Joey, even though we had not seen each other for awhile, I have always prayed and always loved you. You had the greatest laugh, and I will never forget it. I know how much you struggled in this life. Bless god in his love and mercy receive you into his loving arms. I know how much you wanted to serve and love the Lord, but life was very hard for you. Safe in the arms of Jesus you will forever be. Your faith has become sight, all those things you heard about heaven are yours now to behold. Diane had a vision of you leaving the earth. You were covered with brown tarnish and rust. But as you ascended to heaven, the wind of the Holy Spirit blew on you and bit by bit the rust and the crust of this old world fell away. At last you were clothed in a heavenly white garment, standing before your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, with your hands lifted high in true worship to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I am so happy you are finally free. We, the Roy family love and miss you. Our prayers are now sent to your children and our condolences to Darlene. Joey, by the way, give Geneva, our precious mother, a big hug for us. I can hear her as she saw you enter Heaven's portal "Well, well, well, welcome home Big Joey, welcome home...."
