Mr. George Jurij Korin

Obituary

Was born July 3 1929 near Vynnytsia, Ukraine. Emigrated to Canada after WWII with his parents Wasyl and Maria and sister Alexandria (all deceased). As a businessman he worked for Cholkan Real Estate in Toronto. He then owned Royal York Variety in Mimico ON, and subsequently the Riverside Lodge in Oakville ON. Before retirement, he tended bar at the Boulevard Club. Survived by his only son George M. Korin, Daughter in Law Jeanne (Wells), and grandchildren Adrian and Darius of Brooklyn NY. He is also survived by his Companion of over 26 years RoseMarie Bewski and her sons Robert and Paul, and their families. He will also be sadly missed by his Brother in-law Ivan Franiw, his niece Martha Reynolds, friends Peter and Diane Finch, and Vera Kowbuz. George Jurij was currently residing at the Ukrainian Care Centre for the past year. He passed away on April 1, 2019 after a brief illness. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome in the name of George Korin to the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre. May he Rest in Peace
