Mr. Hein-York Tung

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father Hein York Tung on February 14, 2024, in his 89th year. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Sun Moon Tung in 2022, and cherished daughter Julie Anne Tung (Dan) in 2020. He is survived by his daughter Lynda Tung-Zbozny (Bob), son Robert Tung (Lindy), and son-in-law Dan Terrane. Much loved grandfather to Matthew, Melissa, Philip, Jacqueline, Nicholas, Addison, and Jessica. The family is extremely grateful to Dr. Alex Pan at the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, his nurses Alesia and Tatiana, and Paramed PSWs Mark and Hector. Their devotion, care and commitment during the last 7 months will always be remembered and appreciated. A visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home, located at 366 Bathurst St., Toronto (Bathurst St. & Dundas St.), on Friday March 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday March 2 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 at the chapel. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Centre.
