Ever since I can remember John was a frequent visit in our home as Eddy’s friend, like a brother, and to us John was not only a friend but also like a member of the family. It is with great pain and sorrow that we have to say a final “farewell” to someone who will be missed, and from so far away, as it is not possible for us to be there for this sad and difficult time, we send our love and a great big hug from the Nunes family – Juvenalia, Isabel e Pedro (Eddy’s cousin, aunt and uncle)

Desde sempre que o João frequentou a nossa casa como amigo do Eddy, como um irmão, e para nós o João não era só uma pessoa amiga mas sim como família e assim era recebido no nosso seio familiar. My sinceres condolences going out to the family of Joao Amaro. I did know him for 25 years working for Mattamy Home. Certainly we had a big loss. He was a good friend.

How can you put into words the feelings that you just can't express "I'm sorry for your loss" just doesn't seem enough but those are the only words that make sense at a time like this. He's going to be missed by so many but for those of us who saw him every day and spoke to him every day there's going to be a void in our hearts that won't be easily filled.
