With profound sadness we announce the passing of José Cabral do Rego, our loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to all whose lives he touched, on July 27, 2020. He left us suddenly at Castleview Wychwood Towers nursing home in Toronto, Ontario shortly after celebrating his 93rd birthday.   José and his wife Maria Clotilde were about to celebrate their 69th year of marriage. Loving Papá of Humberto (Inês), Ilda (José), Joe, and Irene. Proud Vavô of grandchildren Tanya (André), Justin, Natasha, Nathan, Chantelle, Marcia (Jesse), and Alana, and Bisavô of great-grandchildren Guilherme, Thaís, Henrique, Zion, and Amara. Dear brother of Lucilia and Gilda and predeceased by his parents Manuel and Maria Alexandrina and siblings Manuel, Maria Germana, Herondina, Olivia, Dinis, Edemundo and Beatriz. José will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his family and friends in São Miguel (Açores), Canada and the United States.
