In lieu of flowers the family appreciates donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation. Beginning June 30, 2021 the Bereavement Authority of Ontario is once again permitting visitations to take place that are open to the public. We must continue to maintain physical distancing, the wearing of masks and may not allow more guests than 25% capacity at any one time. Once the maximum limit has been reached, we will ask any additional guests to kindly wait outside in a physically-distanced line until there is room to enter safely.Visitation

Everyone on Mitchell Avenue will miss seeing Jose. He was a great walker, and we would regularly cross paths with him in Trinity Bellwoods Park or up along Dundas. Wherever he went on his walks through the neighbourhood, he always brought along his big smile. Every fall, he made his excellent wine, and through the year at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter or just as a surprise, he would share some of those precious bottles with his neighbours. He will be remembered as a special man and a great neighbour.
