Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather on Sunday, September 13, 2015 surrounded by his family at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Anna Kuzminsky, loving father to Bob (Isolina), Irene, Roman and Taras and cherished “Dido” to Nicholas, Lianna, Joshua and Kira. Dear brother to three siblings and survived by sister Bhodana in Ukraine. He will be fondly remembered by all his friends and relatives. Joseph was a devoted and hard-working father and family man and proud of his Ukrainian heritage. He was a mechanical engineer by nature and a wonderful story-teller. He lived independently right up until his last month. He leaves a rich legacy and will be dearly missed by his family. Visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St. (just east of Keele) on Thursday, September 17th from 6 – 9 p.m. Panakhyda (prayer service) at 7:30 p.m. A Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4 Bellwoods Ave. on Friday, September 18th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery (Bloor & Prince Edward). We are very sorry to learn of the death of our neighbour Joe. We have been neighbours for over 25 years and have looked after our properties together and shared in the changing seasons and the different tasks that arose. He was often busy in the garden tending to his plants and shrubs. To his children and grandchildren we offer our deepest condolences.
