Sincere condolences to the Lishchyna family. Mr. Leonid always held a special spot in my heart because he was such a pillar of Ukrainian tradition. Most of all I remember him for his love for Mother Nature especially trees! He was the first one who took us young ODUM kids on nature walks to point out the different kinds of trees! On behalf of the 4th floor staff of the McCall Centre, we would like to express our deepest sympathies to the Lishchyna family. It was a great priviledge to have been able to care for such a wonderful and gentle man. He had such a wonderfully positive attitude and passed his last few months with us with such quite dignity and grace. We all feel his loss and wish his family peace and comfort in the days and weeks to come.

I heard that he was battling cancer. My dad fought colon cancer for 5 years, before it finally took him from us. Our parents were of a strong breed, and they are our role models to never give up.
