Dear Rose! Please accept my deepest condolences and sympathies on the passing of your beloved husband. I always will be fortunate to have known a great man. Dr. Tretjakewitsch assisted me with a second year final essay in one of my second year undergraduate history courses that I was enrolled in at the University of Toronto. His knowledge of history provided me a clearer understanding of facts and dates. His ability to explain factual information will always be remembered. In addition, I remember the days of him collecting money for the Cathedral Choir at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Toronto, talking with him in after Church Liturgies and also seeing him at the annual Radonitsa prayers at York Cemetery. ETERNAL MEMORY!

Dear Rose! Our deepest sympathies on the passing of your dear husband. Leon was a Leaside High School teacher, a gentlemen and a scholar. He had time for his students and colleagues. He will be remembered for time spent and effort with his students and fellow teachers. Those who knew him were amazed at his encyclopedic knowledge of History. He will be sadly missed!

I taught with Leon at Pope John Paul II C.S.S. in the Modern Languages. He was a kind gentleman and a caring colleague. I remember his love of hiking which took him and Rosy to the Camino as well as the Bruce Trail. He will be remembered fondly.
