Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Manual Gil Senra announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday February 17th, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Manuel will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as hard working and loyal.

Preceded in death by his wife Carmelia, son Gil and his daughters, Grace and Gorette. He will be survived by his children, Paul (Ferni), Joe (Wendy), Fatima (Vito) Cozzella and Mario (Sarina). Beloved grandfather to Nicholas, Shauna, Kennedy, Matthew, Daniel, Nikane, Gabriel and Vienna. And great-grandfather to Jaxon.

Manuel will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Flowers are welcomed to be sent directly to Cardinal Funeral Homes but in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Due to the current pandemic restrictions and under direction from our regulator, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, effective November 23, 2020 all funerals and visitations will be by invitation only to limit the number of people in attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We encourage those that are unable to attend in person to express their sympathy by posting a message of condolence to our website, donating to a charity of your choice in memory of your loved one or by sending flowers to the funeral home.

Banda do Sagrado Coração de Jesus
We are thankful to have shared memories with Sr. Manuel, he made such a huge impact on our band family. He played a pivotal role in arranging for the band to go to Portugal in 1988, it was a great memory. We hope the family finds comfort during this difficult time. No words will ever do justice to the legacy he has left on Banda do Sagrado Coração de Jesus. Where lives pass, memories carry on forever.
