Mr. Manuel Silveira Porto

Passed away on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at home in his 78th year.  Beloved wife of Ema of 52 years.  Dear father of Christina (Reece), and Ana.  He will also be greatly missed by his 2 adored grandchildren Spencer and Petra.  Dear brother of Luisa and Lucinda.  Manuel is predeceased by his parents Manuel (Marquez) and Luisa.  Manuel was born in Pico (Acores), Portugal and came to Canada in 1969.

He will be resting at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst St., Toronto on Monday October 11, 2021 and visitation will be from 2-6 pm.  His funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes Parish, Toronto on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 10 am.  Entombment will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery, Mausoleum & Cremation Centre. A ‘celebration of life’ reception will follow, details to follow.

Beginning July 16, 2021 the Bereavement Authority of Ontario is once again permitting visitations and services to take place that are open to the public. We must continue to maintain physical distancing, the wearing of masks and may not allow more than 50 guests at any one time. Once the maximum limit has been reached, we will ask any additional guests to kindly wait outside in a physically-distanced line until there is room to enter safely.
