Obituary

On January 1st, 2020, Michal Wenglowski lost his long battle with cancer and passed away peacefully taking his last breath at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by family on Wednesday January 1st, 2020. Michal was predeceased by his wife Helena of almost 60 years and leaves behind his daughter Oksana and most beloved and adored granddaughter Emma. He is survived by his sister Kataryna and his brother Wladyk. Michal was the most devoted husband, father and grandfather. His life in the last 14 years was devoted to his most beloved granddaughter Emma. He lived only for her. He loved her more than words could ever express. Michal was very well known in the neighborhood and respected by his friends and neighbours. He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018 but lost his battle on New Years Day 2020. Visitation will take place on Wednesday January 8th at Cardinal Funeral Home on Annette from 5-9 Panakhyda (prayer service) at 8:00. The funeral mass will be held at 10:45 on January 9th at the Church of Holy Protection on Leeds Ave. Burial will take place at St. Volodymyr cemetery in Oakville, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or to the Church of the Holy Protection. May He Rest In Peace and his memory remain eternal. Vichnaya Pamiat!!
