Obituary
Our beloved son, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend, Nemesio Pimentel passed away at Toronto General Hospital, with his family by his side on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the age of 46 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents: Jose and Germana Pimentel; sisters: Nancy Pimentel and Donna Pimentel Valente; brother (in-law): John Valente; god daughter/niece: Angel Valente; nephew: Jaydon Valente; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Nemesio has been in and out of hospitals since he was 19 with a long list of ailments. He was truly a fighter. Recently it was discovered that he suffered from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. With this diagnoses, Nemesio was positive that he would conquer this as he continued to make plans for the future. We never thought that he would lose this battle. Nemesio was always friendly, loving and honest. So friendly that he made friends easily; so loving, that when he hugged you, you truly felt loved; so honest, that he rarely, if ever, lied. He was one in a billion and the world lost a great, good-hearted man. Regrettably due to covid restrictions the Visitation / Prayer Service is by invitation to a limited number of family and friends and religious service and burial will be limited to immediate family only. Memorial Donations may be made in Nemesio Pimentel’s name to Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation , St. Michael’s Foundation, Sick Kids Foundation or Canadian Liver foundation. The family wishes to send a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Michael’s Hospital and at Toronto General Hospital for their care and compassion.Due to the current pandemic restrictions and under direction from our regulator, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, effective November 23, 2020 all funerals and visitations will be by invitation only to limit the number of people in attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We encourage those that are unable to attend in person to express their sympathy by posting a message of condolence to our website, donating to a charity of your choice in memory of your loved one or by sending flowers to the funeral home.
