Paul was so smart and talented with a wicked sense of humour. I grew up with Paul and consider him family. Spent many holiday and school celebrations together. I feel lucky to have spent some fun and interesting times with him at Trinity in Toronto when we were "grown ups". He was so happy to have met you and to be able to share his life with you. May God hold you tight and Paul's light will shine on through you . XO Rachel

With much affection and gratitude, John & family. Paul has been a great friend of my family's since 1994.We soon became fast friend, bicycling all over Toronto, enjoying many lunches and dinners with friends. He moved to Kingston to live with my late wife, Ann, grandson, Rob, and me. He worked t St. George's Cathedral as admimistrator,as well as singing in the choir. He especially appreciated his beloved St. Mary Magdalene's Parish and Choir. . We will all miss him so very much -- a very fine, compassion, caring and gifted dear friend. Miss you

Paul was a huge part of an exceptionally formative and important time in my life. Although Paul and I had not been as close in recent years, I always remembered him with great fondness, and followed him with great interest online. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory.

Dear Adrienne, family, friends and colleagues, I have known Paul quite well since March 1994, first meeting him at Trinity College, Toronto, and then when he moved to Kingston, staying with my late wife, Ann, grandson, Robert, and me on two extended occasions. He worked at St. George's Cathedral as office administrator and made many close friends, singing in the cathedral choir and in the Melos Choir. My family and I participated in his wonderful wedding in Owen Sound in August 2010 with Adrienne and her family and friends -- a great occasion. We last spoke on April 7 when he enquired about the death of my beloved Hamish, American Cocker Spaniel, who died peacefully in his sleep. It was so typically Paul to be so thoughtful to call. He sounded very upbeat and looking forward to the coming months. I am totally shocked and saddened....Paul was a wonderful friend for me, a very kind and compassionate, caring person, highly gifted, who loved his music at St. Mary Marydalene's Parish, his dear Adrienne, many close friends -- as shy as he was at times -- and his brother, Mark. He lived bicycling with me and taught me a lot about music and being patient. Paul will be greatly missed by my family and many, many others of the Trinity College family and far beyond. He was truly a blessing added to my life by God; I will treasure forever our railway trips and especially our lunches and dinners together with great conversations, meeting wonderful people. I am grateful for all his contributions to St. George's Cathedral, Kingston, and his love and support for me and my family and friends. The Venerable John M. Robertson, Kingston, ON

Adrienne...know that we are with you in heart, thought and prayer. These next days will be difficult but hold fast onto the support and concern of those who were involved in your lives as a couple, your life as a speech pathologist, Paul's life as a musician and engineer, your close friends and lastly, those of your sister and family. All of us are here to help and comfort. David and Ruth Tupper, Owen Sound, Ontario.

I was so sorry to hear the news of Paul. Through living the other side of the Atlantic I only met him a couple of times, but have some great memories of a trip to Wales with him many years ago. My thoughts are with you at this time.

Curious, questioning, sharp!!!These are just 3 adjectives to describe Paul as a primary/junior student at Lakeroad Public School in Sarnia. His arrival at understandings left the curriculum in the dust. Yes, Paul was a gifted learner......in addition, he showed strong compassion, empathy and care for others. I remember Paul well as a former student...he was a unique and wonderful individual. I am deeply saddened by the news and offer my condolences to the family.

Dear Adrienne, our deepest condolences to you. This is shocking news reaching us here in England. We were singing with Paul at SMM under Stephanie Martin a few years ago and always appreciated Paul's kind and gentle personality. May God give you strength in these sad times.

I'm so sorry to hear about Paul. I attended Lakeroad Public School with him in Sarnia and was in his class until he was accelerated. My mom still lives a few doors away from Paul's childhood home. It doesn't surprise me that Paul became a respected professional and maintained his love of reason and science. The world is no doubt a worse place without Paul in it. Please know that you will be in my thoughts.
